A gentle Smile
It starts with a chuckle, a slight twitch of the face
Promises of something greater, of a warm embrace.
Then comes a small curve, in the corner of the mouth,
Dont keep it in I say, let it all out!.
The mouth opens, a flash of light.
Never in my life have I seen a smile so bright.
It has a life of its own, slowly growing.
A beautiful smile, slightly glowing.
The lips part more, along with the teeth,
And I see her tongue curling up underneath.
I wriggle my eyebrows as her eyes begin to glow,
And out comes the laugh, and it hits me like a blow.
I sit back and relax, enjoying the show.
Thats what it is all about, to make people smile
A smile of a lady, worth every mile.
And If I end up without you in a coffin,
At least I was given the chance to see the smile of a Muffin.
